Warm Up In Down Vest
Cute and warm
This vest is a nice addition to the cold weather wardrobe for my son. We live in northern California where it does not get too cold, but it's nice to have some cover for the fall/winter colder days. My son loves the fit and bright color (he selected orange). But the outer material is not as soft and lovable as the one on the down vest we purchased 2 years ago. The older one was wonderful in quality and feel! This one is OK but not on par. I am a bit disappointed, but he is happy so I would still recommend from a kid perspective, plus it fits well, looks cute and it keeps him warm.

Awesome vest, perfect for fall!
This vest is awesome for fall weather. It is nice and thin, but looks can be deceiving, as it is quite warm! I also look forward to putting this under my daughter's JE jacket for when she plays in the snow. Love the pink with purple trim, but I sure wish the other color combos were more fun, for example the orange would be awesome with purple trim!

Just what we needed!
We live in Maine where Fall days can range from 70 degrees to 30 degrees. These vests are perfect for the days where it is too hot for a full jacket, but a little warmth is still needed. And the kids look adorable in them! I purchased one in pink for my daughter, and one in blue for my son.

My sons’ favorite fall coat!!!
I bought my 5 year old son this vest last year (paired with the matching fleece jacket) and he outgrew that one. The testimony to how great this vest is, is that he requested the same vest in a larger size as a replacement! Luckily, the fleece jacket for underneath still fits so we didn’t have to replace that part. He says it is warm and comfortable to wear. I would suggest to all considering this vest to buy 2 sizes larger than the usual Hanna size, so that it is roomy. I don’t know anyone who likes a tight coat!!

The vest had very little down. While it looked nice and was generally well made, there was not much more than the material shell. Undoubltedly, it would not be very warm. I sent it back.

Typical Down Bunches when laundered
Wash instruction says machine wash, tumble dry. BUT, the down clumps. I tried putting sneakers and tennis balls in dryer with vest. After 60minutes in dryer It helped breakup the clumps, BUT did NOT make the down stretch all the way across vest. I continued to break up clumps rubbing in my hands and tumbling with sneakers in dryer. After 3 hours, I give up. I will not do this every time needs washed, so I cannot keep it.

The Perfect Piece!
Every year, Hanna presents me with one item I consider the I-must-have-it for my granddaughter this Christmas. The down vest--in sunshine yellow--shouted, "I'm the one!"
Simple and unadorned, it's stylish looks stand on their own. The arm holes are cut deeply so as not to bind, and the zippers are high quality and sturdy. The vest is lightweight, but over a sweater or even a heavy shirt, it's down/feather filling will keep your child warm on all but the coldest days or lengthiest periods outdoors.
Two big pluses, moms, dads, grannies: NO DRY CLEANING NEEDED; and it's finished with a fluorescent Scotchguard so your girl or boy is more visible to drivers while bike riding or walking.
