great hat, but a little bigger than you'd expect This is the cutest, neatest great sunhat - if you can get a kid to wear it on a hot sunny day. The brim is quite wide, more like a woman's straw hat, so it's great for shading the face, but not so great on the jungle gym, or playing high speed running games. My kids tend to move a little too much to keep it on for long. One twin loves hats, so will 'dress up' in it frequently. The other two girls won't consider it -or any hat for that matter. The fabric is a swimsuit-like nylon, that breathes and moves, but the size for a small head on the younger side of the age range runs a bit big. July 22, 2014
Very cute hat I purchased a hat for each of my 2 young granddaughters. They are very adorable, cute, stylish, etc. However, I do agree with the comments from others. They are a little too floppy over the face, and they definitely need a tie to hold them in place. The hats do the job of keeping sun off the face, but at times the brim flops down too far. A lighter brim fabric would be better. Personally, I thought the hats seem to run large. The size large seemed large on my head as an adult. July 22, 2014
Pretty Very pretty sunshade!! Glad I got them before they sold out! July 12, 2014
Cute Hat Love this hat. Bought a large, but should have gotten a medium for 7 year old. Think it runs a little large. But, purpose is to provide protection from the sun, and it does that nicely. Also, she wears in the pool and no problem with fading, etc. Typical Hanna quality that we have grown to expect and appreciate, July 1, 2014
Great hat but... This is a great hat -- wonderful, wide brim to keep the kids very well shaded in the sun. But, and this is the only reason I give it four stars, it needs a chin strap or ties. Because it has such a wide brim, the wind takes the hat as soon as my kids step outside. I took some long shoelaces and sewed them on to make my own ties, but would have been much more convenient to have them ready made. My mother-in-law bought them for the girls, otherwise I would have passed on these hats because there was no strap. July 1, 2014
Great purchase This hat worked perfectly at the beach for my 2 and 3 year old. They loved it so they wore it but it also protected them. June 23, 2014
Floppy The hat looks very cute. However, it's made out of swimsuit like material so the bucket part of the hat is supposed to stretch over the head which my child definitely didn't care for. It also has a bit of a nylon sheen. The brim is of the same material and to try to give it some support they made it really thick. This makes it very floppy though and I couldn't get it to not sag in her face. Love the style, but it needed a cotton, or cotton blend fabric, and a chin strap. June 17, 2014
Great hat for swimming I was so relieved to find a swim hat for my oldest. I don't know why manus think kids stop needing swim hats after the age of 2 or 3! The wide brim on this is great, it is stretchy so looks like we will get some good use out of it for the next couple years. Only thing I'd change is possibly adding a chin strap, but I understand older kiddos might be resistant to that. June 12, 2014
