Journey's End Jacket
great design & color but not warm enough for a cold Midwest Winter
Ordered this via catalog. It looked great. The cut of the jacket was square which my granddaughter needed. Disappointed, it was too thin for a cold Mudwest winter (even though it had thermolite lining). Good for fall not below zero winter here. Had to buy another warmer jacket for grandaughter.

I don't understand this jacket. This is not a Winter coat. Agree that this is a Fall jacket. We are in the Northeast. Not extremely cold, but it can reach below freezing on a Winter Day. My 5 year old complained about being cold with a shirt and sweater underneath this coat on a day where it was above freezing and she was outside for less than 10 minutes. I realize it has Thinsulate but they could have added a layer of fleece in the bodice.
Normally I am a fan of everything Hanna, but this I am not pleased at all with this coat. I am stuck with 2 impractical coats for my 2 girls.

Great style. Not warm enough. Zipper malfunctions.
We are having to layer another winter jacket under this jacket to keep our 4 yr old warm enough to play outside. Also the zipper keeps separating when we zip it up. I've never had quality issues with any Hanna product. This is surprising!

Disappointed as a winter coat
I love all the Hanna gear we've purchased in the past two years. But this coat is very disappointing as a winter coat for anyone who lives in a place where it gets below 30 degrees. We've already had some single digit days here in Cleveland and my daughter has said she's been cold already. With the tags off and her name on the tag already, I guess I can't return it but we'll have to buy her another winter coat for those bitterly cold days and save this for warmer winter days. Don't buy this jacket for warmth unless you want to do several layers underneath.

great style runs large
I bought two of this coat for my 1year old twins to wear this winter. To my surprise it runs large and happened to fit my 2.5 year old perfectly. I guess that she'll be wearing them this year and the twins will get them next year. Now i just need to find coats for them this year.

Second year in a row
This is a great, affordable ski jacket, play jacket, outer-layer-on-cold-days jacket. Plus, my daughter loves the loud colors. She wore her last jacket two years in a row and got multiple comments on the ski hill on how beautiful her jacket was!

Very Thin Coat
I was looking for a warm coat for my daughter. This coat is very thin more like a fall jacket. So now I need to go through the hassle of returning in though the mail. The coat is very cute but in no way would it keep any one warm on very cold days. In areas where the temp stays mostly above freezing it would be good. Very disappointed and will not be ordering any winter coats from here.

Navy/yellow flower Journey's End coat different from previous years...
I have purchased Journey's End coats in previous years and have been very pleased. However, this year's version is lacking in quite a few important features. The internal drawstring around the waist is missing, there is no snap storm flap over the zipper (although the flap would probably alter the aesthetics), the pockets are slash pockets along the side seam and not in the front with a snap flap closure, and the insulation seems so very thin. This particular coat's overall quality seems to have declined compared to previous years. I am now doubting if this coat will keep my 6 year old warm in a potentially harsh Midwest winter. My daughter actually picked out this coat and loves the flower design so replacing it could prove to be extremely difficult.
In reviewing the HA website, I now notice that the other design (multicolor/flower allover print) of Journey's End coat seems to have the features that I am used to and prefer. Perhaps HA should change the name of this coat to prevent confusion.
I will update this review as colder weather sets in... I'm hoping for the best.
