Maya Mary Jane By Hanna
Awful. Perhaps if my daughter was an elf with curled toes, these might work.
WE loved the look of these shoes when we saw them in the catalog. I mean shiny and sensible?! My daughter immediately put these on and wanted to love them. However, the curled toe part was/is so extreme that she would get toe cramps. Seriously, your toes are curled upward like 45 degrees. Totally bizarre. She thought the idea of having curled elfin/fairy feet was cool but the pain was unbearable. This wasn't an issue of the wrong size it was the totally the painful curve. She really tried them a couple of times because they were her favorite color and glittery.

Order a full size up
These shoes are well made and my daughter wore them all day at school right out of the box with no complaints about hurting feet. The toe curls up a bit which is kind of strange for such a solid shoe, but you don't really notice once they are on. They really do run small like other reviewers say. I only ordered up 1/2 size and it wasn't enough so had to exchange. Order up a whole size.

Super cute...but didn't fit.
Such an adorable play /casual shoe. Ordered in silver and blue, was hoping she would have these for summer camps. The size 3 was too small and the size 4 was too big. The child I purchased the shoes for has very thin feet. Length wise the size 4 was okay but there was too much room on either side of the shoe to render it wearable. I returned the shoes.

why are these curved so dramatically up at the end like elf shoes?
Once on her feet they seem okay, but it is almost impossible to even tell if they are the right size since you cannot get the toes of the shoes onto the ground. they are turned up at the tips at about a 40 degree angle (you can kind of see this in the picture, but I didn't realize what it would be like in person). I ordered one size, couldn't tell where her toes were, but she said they felt small, so I returned for the next size. These seem a little big to me, but again I cannot measure where her toes are in them, so we just kept them. They were on sale, look okay on (though the curved fronts look a little odd). I only wanted them so she would have black shoes for recitals, and for that they are great, I don't know about everyday wear and if the curved toes stay up or eventually come down.

Adorable and Comfortable!
My 4 yr old daughter loves these shoes - she wears them with and without socks and the silver goes with everything!

Ambivalent about quality...
Many reviewers commented on sizing being too small...I found opposite problem. had to get my daughter a size 1 and there are very few shoe brands that she wears in that size, most brands she needs a 12-13 at most. Others mention problems with glitter coming off - that is going to happen to ANY glitter shoe, you just can't get away from it. IMO the rubber toe helps a lot on this, at least the toe isn't bare of glitter after one wear like many top brands. My issue is the strap: at the loop, the strap is constructed in 2 main pieces and sewed together...and after only 2-3 short periods of wear (and gentle wear at that) the stitching is coming undone. The same thing is starting to happen on my younger daughters pair too...and she's worn them even less. Customer service is replacing them, but I don't have real high hopes that they will be any better...we'll see.

Cute, but run small
I had purchased a pair of Hanna boots for my daughter and they are really big - so we've put them away until she grows into them. With this in mind, I bought the same size in these Mary Janes thinking we'd save them until she grew into them. Well, these run very, very small and her feet can not even get into them. Bummer! It's hardly worth the cost of shipping to return them. I wish there was some consistency with Hanna shoe sizes. Not sure I will continue to order shoes from HA.
