I love these pants. I have been using them for at least 4 years in various sizs.
Love these pants and have been using for years. My son has austism and it's great to have a jean pant without the snap or button. He can be independent and it doesn't look like he is wearing elastic pants. The last batch the pull string is harder to pull but they are still by far the best pant even with that glitch. I was looking to buy the next size up as I have been having a hard time finding this pant in months besides september. It is January and I can't find this pant in his size. Why? Please make this pant available in more seasons. Boys just shoot up in height. It's this or sweat pants and some situations call for a real pant.

"These are really great jeans! They are not flimsy like some other manufacturers' products. For winter, they are hardy enough to not need base layers to help keep warm. Wash after wash, these are standing up to the rugged wear of an active 2 year old boy." When these were purchased, there were no reviews. Since then, I have seen some reviews that said they were too stiff, but seeing him in action wearing these jeans, they are not slowing him down. I bought these for my grandson, and the above review is from his mom.

I agree!!! Please bring back the old Carefree Jeans!!!
My son is 9 and Austistic with sensory issues. He loved his Hanna jeans last year. It's no small task getting him to transition from shorts to pants, (we live in Central Texas and you can wear shorts 9 months out of the year). I ordered the Carefree jeans this year and they're much stiffer and rather snug. My son is long and lean. He hates these pants and won't even attempt to wear them. I have to wash them before he will wear them. Too late to return. It's extremely difficult to find jeans with a complete elastic waistband for boys 4'11.5' tall. Really disappointed this year. Please bring back the old style/ fabric! I'll have to continue my search elsewhere.

Disappointed, but needed to settle...
PLEASE HA... bring back the Carefree Jeans from previous years (only reinforce the knee). For the beginning of each school year, I purchase at least three pair of these jeans for my son who is picky about the feel/fit of his clothes. This year, to my disappointment, the stitching, material and back pocket is very different from previous years. However, my son didn't protest, so I kept them. HA... I believe you were trying to solve a problem of these jeans wearing so quickly, but I don't believe this new jean is the answer.... the jeans are still wearing too quickly, in my opinion, at the knee.
I'll need to see if these new Carefee Jeans make it to the spring.

We love these jeans. My son finds them very comfortable and not at all scratchy like some other reviewers have suggested. They are just very sturdy, as we have come to expect from Hanna.

The best jeans for my 4 and 8 year old boys
I have searched far and wide for jeans that fit and that my boys will wear and I finally have found them! After trying MANY other brands I came across these and with them became a loyal Hanna customer. These jeans fit my skinny 8 year-old's waist and are long enough for his long legs (size 130 was perfect). My 4 year-old will only wear sweatpants AND THESE JEANS!!! Size 100 for his chubby tummy and shorter legs. They are not the most stylish, but we have received compliments. Thank you!

Good Play Jeans
The jeans are too big for my 1 yr old, but size 70's are too tight/short. Overall, they're great jeans and I think they will fit a long time once he grows into them.
