Our sizing is easy!
We still use the European way of sizing by height in centimeters because it's easy and makes good sense - since every child grows at their own pace all you need to do is measure their height for a good fit.

There's no need to "buy big."
Our clothes have plenty of growth room, so go ahead and order the correct size on our chart - there's no need to "buy big." We can't stress this enough! Whether you choose an item that's prewashed or one that has shrinkage built in, every hanna garment is designed for a good fit with room for growth.

How to use our size chart:
Just measure your child from the top of the head to the floor in inches, then use the chart to convert to centimeters. Call us with any questions and we'll be happy to help you get the right fit.

Height is the one and only measure you need to order hannas - we can't stress this enough - measure the height for a good fit.

Weight may be helpful if a child is above or below average weight.

Age isn't nearly as accurate as using the height (since kids all grow at different rates!). It's helpful when sending out-of-town gifts.

Good Play Jeans The jeans are too big for my 1 yr old, but size 70's are too tight/short. Overall, they're great jeans and I think they will fit a long time once he grows into them. September 23, 2014
Runs small Unfortunately had to return these jeans. Ordered a 110 and they were very snug on my son who wears lots of HA bottoms in size 110. The length worked, but the waist and hips were too tight. I was really hopping these would fit him because we love the pull-on style for ease of use and comfort. September 23, 2014
Not as good as before but still best I can find My daughter has sensory issues and hates standard tight jeans. She only likes elastic waistbands and loose fitting designs. While this year's style is stiffer than previous years and we don't like the red contrast stitching, I still don't know of any better option out there. Please bring back the old style/weight and consider offering there is even bigger sizes. I don't know what I will do when my super tall 9 year old outgrows this set of 160 cm jeans. Oh no! You just lost one of your best customers! Bring the old style carefree jeans back before you lose anymore! September 20, 2014
Bring back the old carefree jeans. The old carefree jeans were the only jeans my daughter would wear. We were so sad when they were discontinued then excited when they came back. Well, the new versions arrived today and the first thing she said was, "Scratchy." Disappointing! We're sending these back. September 11, 2014
Dissappointed :( I always buy these for my 2 boys who are very picky about their clothes. This year the jeans have changed. Not as comfortable, very tight around the waist. Please bring back the previous style!! I got a size 130 for my 7 year old but they are too small :( September 10, 2014
Bring back the old carefree jeans! My two rough and tumble boys (7 and 9) loved these jeans in past years because they were loose and comfortable. The thick, stiff fabric this year is a deal-breaker. These are going back. As to complaints that the fabric was too thin in the past? I agree it was thin, but they held up amazingly well to heavy use. I'm even able to "hand them down" - unheard of with other pants from my boys who always rip the knees! Hannah - listen to your customers and bring back the original version! (Have two different versions if you need to.) September 9, 2014
Good for kids who say they don't like jeans I have purchased these jeans every year for my son since he was four or five years old. They make us both happy because he is comfortable and there are some situations in which I do not want him wearing athletic pants. That said, I really feel something is up with the sizing on the boys' jeans this year. I have been a Hanna customer for eleven years and truly understand the sizing. My son needs a size 160; we even measured him up against the height chart in a local store. Recently I had to return a pair of straight leg jeans that we wanted to try because they were too tight in the fanny and about four inches too long. My son is described as a "string bean," certainly not generously built in the fanny. And now the carefree jeans, I have to be honest, are big on him. They are the right length but very baggy. I sent them through the wash and they did improve. His 150s from last year are absolutely too small. (And yes, we go up a Hanna size almost every year - he grows at least 3 inches a year!) I'm in the same situation with my daughter, where she has outgrown a lot of her 130s but 140s are absolutely giant on her. So I'm wondering - is Hanna now using too many manufacturers and slipping on consistency of size? Anyway, these jeans are great for boys who don't think jeans are comfy. I'm disappointed not to see the "getting there" jeans in the offerings this year. September 9, 2014
