Messenger bag that works.
While messenger bags can be awkward for little bodies to carry...our Hanna bag seems to be comfy and work just fine. I was concerned about the white background of the bold floral design but the stain resistant finish is holding up fine so far. Good assortment of pockets to organize my daughter's school supplies including a nice outside pocket for easy access to her homework folder.

Cute and durable
My 6 year old uses the HA backpack for school, and this messenger style bag to carry her dance & gymnastics gear. We love them both. She's been using the backpack style all year and it still looks new, so I felt confident this bag would be great, too. I think this style is easier to get larger things in & out of.

Nice Product / Outstanding Customer Service
This bag is adorable and is holding up pretty well considering how it gets dragged around. More importantly, Hanna Andersson has the best customer service of any company with which I have ever dealt. My package arrived via USPS completely crushed as if it had been partially run over by a truck. The stiff material that is meant to keep the front flap on the bag straight was completely warped due to the damaged package. After sending photos of the package and messenger bag to Hanna's customer service, they immediately shipped me another bag and apologized for the mishap (even though it was out of their control). I was told that I would be able to return the damaged bag using a prepaid shipping label that they would send with the new bag. I later received a call from HA saying there would be no need for me to return the damaged bag and that I could donate it locally, which I did. The company's quick and accommodating response to my issue has made me a happy Hanna customer for life!

Falling apart after 3 months
The bottom straps where it hooks the flap together are coming completely out of the seams. My daughter hasn't even used it for 3 months. Also, the messenger style is awkward for little bodies to wear without it slipping down the shoulder. Prefer a backpack.

Very cute!
My daughter absolutely LOVES this messenger bag. It is really cute, has lots of pockets & places to hold things.
The only issue is it is not quite as wide as I thought it would be. I had to send back the Deluxe lunchbox as it was way too big to fit in the bag & my daughter didn't want to carry that also. Her other lunch box can be squished inside, but it is tough to close.
All in all though, it is a great bag that she can use for a few years until she will need something larger.

Stylish and Well-Designed
My 7 year old loves this bag, and so do I. It is cute and stylish, sturdy, and full of clever storage/organization features. It's the right size for her, as well: large enough to hold a lunchbox and a few books but not too large.

Too small for what my child needs
This bag was sturdy and my daughter loved the style but it just wasn't large enough to fit her gear. A regular backpack seems to have a little more room. This was our first try with this more grown up style but it just didn't work for us.

a very nice bag for lower grades!
this is a very nice LITTLE messenger bag. my girl likes it and has been banging it around for 2 weeks. it still looks super new! she can maneuver around just fine with it.
she is in 2nd. class and i believe she couldn't use it in 3rd grade because of its size! overall it is working nicely with us!
